About the Role


As a member of the BSG Cybersecurity, reporting to the Senior Manager and under operational direction of Senior Analyst - Cybersecurity, the Cybersecurity Analyst will support the successful execution of security-related activities for BSG IT.

Duties includes monitoring and analyzing security events, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing measures to safeguard information assets. Regularly reporting of cybersecurity incidents, conducting phishing simulation, and security awareness training.


Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the North American Operating Businesses and authorized third party security provider or vendors:


  • Threat Monitoring and Incident Response: You will monitor endpoints and server system logs, and security alerts to identify potential security incidents or breaches. You will investigate and respond to security events, contain, and mitigate the impact of incidents, and develop incident response plans.

Vulnerability Assessment: You will conduct regular assessments of systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses. This involves performing and analyzing security configurations and recommending remediation measures.

Managed security services provider (MSSP):You will Interface and collaborate with other security professionals to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.

Security Awareness and Training: You may be involved in educating employees about security best practices, conducting security awareness campaigns, conducting phishing simulation campaigns, and delivering training sessions to enhance the organization's security posture.

Security Incident Documentation and Reporting: You will maintain accurate records of security incidents, including their nature, impact, and remediation actions taken. You will also prepare reports and presentations for management to provide insights into the organization's security posture.

Collaboration and Communication: You will collaborate with various teams, such as IT, operations, and management, to ensure effective implementation of security controls and response to incidents. Strong communication skills are essential for explaining complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: You will continuously evaluate and enhance the organization's security infrastructure, processes, and practices. This involves identifying areas for improvement, recommending new security technologies, and participating in security-related projects.
