Description

Working as the Finance Analyst, the position will assist and work closely with the Operations Director to provide high quality operations information and analysis to the senior management team.

The position is also responsible for the timely and accurate processing of employee time sheets, customer job tickets and subsequent customer invoicing.

Other activities will include overseeing the AP invoicing and payment process and being first reviewer of purchase orders and associated coding.


Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Working on projects including cost analysis, business process reengineering, business performance (budgeting & forecasting) as well as KPI reviews and other ad hoc projects
  • Detailed CAPEX analysis and reporting, including assisting in the coordination of the CAPEX procurement process.
  • Detailed maintenance spend analysis and reporting
  • Collection of customer job tickets from operations and subsequent invoicing
  • Updating internal revenue files
  • Customer billing & handling disputed invoices with receivable followup
  • Preparing financial models for new bids and coordination and support of the bidding process
  • First reviewer of all POs entered in the system to ensure accuracy of PO type and coding
  • Manage the entry, approval, and coding of invoices (for overhead spend)
  • Supplier invoice matching with payments made and follow up with suppliers to resolve discrepancies
  • Issue cheques and online payments to vendors
  • Reconcile vendor and credit card statements
  • Coordination and processing of employee time sheets
  • Other ad hoc work as assigned

  • Strong financial modelling skill set in addition to a wellstructured and planned approach to project management

  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Selfstarter, with excellent time management skills in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Good problemsolving ability

Desirable Skills:


  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX
  • Formal finance / accounting knowledge (training)

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
