Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Safety Quality and Regulatory Technician(3rd shift)(12 month term) will inspect the cleaning and sanitization of processing equipment, utensils and the entire plant environment.
You will drive continuous improvement, analyze sanitation performance metrics, determine root causes and implement effective corrective actions to meet safety and product quality standards.
This job will be performed on the production floor.This job is located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Key Accountabilities
Inspect the cleaning and sanitization of equipment, surfaces, utensils and plant environment to ensure the sanitation process is completed effectively and on time.
Perform preoperational equipment swabbing as required.
Effectively engage, communicate and provide feedback on all sanitation related activities.
Measure and analyze sanitation performance metrics and lead sanitation meetings to review findings and assign investigation and corrective action responsibilities to drive continuous improvement.
Ensure completion of required and scheduled cleanings associated with the master sanitation schedule.Handle basic clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent.
Ability to work on a night shift (from 11pm until 7:30am).
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada. Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals).
Strong computer program professional knowledge:
Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Experienced in food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of sanitation and manufacturing practices in the assessment of plant hygiene program.
