- Oversee all transactional reconciliations and accounting flows related to cellular subscriptions sales at Best Buy Canada big box and smaller format store as well as telco sales at Best Buy Express locations, ensure that all operational reporting ties back to POS and carrier information and all transactions are correctly recorded in GL
- Manage cellular subscription short payment disputes process, analyze subscription AR payment reconciliation write-offs to identify trends and anomalies, determine subscription AR reserve rates for each cellular carrier
- Own the commercial customer credit application review process and AR house account set-up and maintenance process across multiple systems, determine appropriate bad debt provisions
- Oversee daily payment application process and investigation of unknown deposits, ensure that the AR team's service levels are met, monitor AR aging for all classes of customer accounts, produce team's monthly KPIs dashboard
- Coordinate manual billing activities for various programs and provide guidance to the team on complex payment reconciliation scenarios
- Oversee credit card chargebacks dispute processes, ensure compliance with payment industry chargeback response regulations, and maximize recovery through the use of efficient tools to produce timely and most complete chargeback claim response
- Proactively identify issues, perform root cause analyses, and make actionable recommendations to relevant cross-functional teams to prevent or minimize AR write offs and bad debt losses
- Maintain recruitment, development, recognition, and retention systems for all supervised associates
- Provide support for subscriptions AR-related systems scoping and design, make recommendations for systems development prioritization, and perform system tests
- 5+ years' progressive accounting experience with 1+ year leading a team
- 3+ years' experience in AR and business credit in a mid to large-scale organization
- CPA designation or pursuing CPA or related accounting designation
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and concepts
- Advanced MS Excel experience and strong systems aptitude
- Experience with SQL, BI tools, and Alteryx

As a manager – subscriptions and AR operations , you will oversee all accounts receivable operations, including payment processing and reconciliations, commercial customers credit applications, house accounts maintenance, credit card chargebacks, and preparation of complex reconciliations related to cellular subscriptions sold across all Best Buy Canada channels. You will handle provisions for uncollectable AR, collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely collections, and act as a subject matter expert for Oracle cloud ERP AR subledger module and cellular subscriptions accounting flows and related systems setup.
In this role, the successful candidate is required to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.
