Your Role
We are looking for a summer student to join our Accounting team in Ottawa.

You will have the opportunity to gain professional experience by working directly with Accountants, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff, and business analysts.

This position calls for individuals who excel at self-directed data entry in a dynamic environment while adhering to deadlines.

The roles and responsibilities will provide a broad range of experience and knowledge that can be helpful for starting your career in Accounting or Project Management.


Responsibilities:


  • Review clients' contracts/agreements and purchase orders to ensure the end results will be fully functional projects in our ERP system.
  • Ensure project creation and modifications comply with companydirected standards.
  • Assist and provide backup support to accounting staff and auditors.
  • Prepare and maintain accounting files, records, and reports.

Qualifications:

  • 3rd or 4th year student enrolled in a university degree program in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Accounting (or a related program)
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • The ability to effectively and courteously communicate written and verbal information, and to clarify requirements as needed.
  • Strong analytical intuition and problemsolving skills.
  • A service focused approach and willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Clear ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and can easily analyze and create basic formulas.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft D365 is an asset but not mandatory
