We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated
Site Supervisor who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness and empowerment; to our clients, families and each other.


The
Site Supervisor will be working in program, as part of a team providing a positive learning environment that supports children's emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth and development.

Wesley's Registered Early Childhood Educators care for and observe children each day to understand and foster their interests and provide an engaging and stimulating environment and program.

Location and/or program can be changed based on enrollment and/or operational need.

This position is a
unionized,
permanent, full-time position. The rate of pay is $25.37 per hour. This rate of pay includes the base rate plus all applicable wage subsidies, grants, enhancements and top-ups.

**Key Responsibilities: - Develop, plan, promote, implement and evaluate day to day operations of the programs with the support of the Supervisor Early Years and other staff.

  • Accept program registrations, provide program information and orientation for families requiring care and maintain secured child files.
  • Be knowledgeable about and comply with all Ministry of Education, Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 legislated/licensing requirements and ensure licensing requirements are abided to at all times
  • Implement all required daily, weekly, and monthly procedures, and secure storage of all documentation.
  • Plan and implement programming based on the Ministry of Education's pedagogy "How Does Learning Happen?"
  • Create and maintain a safe learning environment that is responsive to the interests and needs of the children in the program.
  • Be familiar with and adhere to licensing requirements per the Ministry of Education, Child Care and Early Years Act
  • Provide quality, playbased learning and supervision of all children in the care of Wesley Urban Ministries at all times.
  • Ensure program needs are being met and in compliance with program licensing requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:


  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
  • Minimum 2 years of current (within the last 3 years) experience working within a licensed full day Child Care Centre with children from infants to preschool, and their families.
  • Experience and sensitivity working with all families including those culturally diverse, LGBTQ, young parents, etc
  • Thorough knowledge of HDLH and applicable legislation i.e. Child Care and Early Years Act (2014)/CWELCC.
  • Current First aid/CPR, Safe Food Handling Certificate, Non Violent Crisis Intervention (N.V.C.I.) training.
