    Title: Project Director
    Location: Edmonton AB – Remote (If required, candidate should be available for onsite meetings. Once a quarter)
    Duration: Months Contract + possible extension
    Working Hours – (Standard Hours of work are : – : Alberta time, Monday through Friday)

    Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the development and implementation of a project management office for the Registries Modernization project, defining and developing key artifacts and deliverables to ensure consistent monitor, tracking and reporting within each of the registry modernization program areas.
  • Coordinating with program managers and Product Directors to track and manage risks to the overall Registries Modernization project.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to program managers and Product Directors to deliver on the business objectives of each area.
  • Monitoring progress of the Registries Modernization project and provide timely updates to key leadership and governance committees.
  • Coordinating with program managers and Product Directors to ensure all teams have the necessary resources to complete the work.
  • Coordinating with program managers and Product Directors to establish and maintain program timelines; identifying gaps, managing dependencies and milestones, and escalating impacts and risks to timelines to leadership.
  • Coordinating with the Registries Evolution finance team, program managers and Product Directors to develop and manage program budgets.
  • Establishing and implementing reporting mechanisms to communicate progress and risks to leadership and governance committees.
  • Analyzing overall project performance, providing feedback and recommendations, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Other activities as needed to support the successful project delivery of the Registries Modernization project.
  • Required Experience:
  • Experience leading large enterprise-scale projects and programs. years
  • Experience working on agile software development and modern, service design based product delivery comparable in size and complexity for a large organization such as state, provincial, or federal government or a private company with , or more employees or for a startup or small business addressing a complex challenge at scale. years
  • Senior leadership experience defining project scope, goals and deliverables such as roadmaps, governance, briefing notes, and business cases that support project goals in collaboration with business stakeholders. years
  • Experience as Program Manager managing a portfolio of projects by providing governance, prioritizing, monitoring, reporting at a Program level. years
  • Nice To Have:
  • Experience identifying, analyzing and managing project risks on large, complex projects. years
  • Experience in managing project/program financials such as budgeting and forecasts. years
  • Experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity years
  • Experience supporting and collaborating directly with stakeholders, external (public users) and internal business areas. Ability to co-ordinate and communicate necessary information well to all clients. years
  • Senior leadership experience defining program goals in collaboration with business stakeholders. years
  • Senior leadership experience within a complex, business and technical IT environment. years
  • Experience in developing project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop and monitor work plans for completion of project tasks. years
