Summary of Responsibilities
The Credit Manager will be responsible for oversight and control of the Wholesale Finance underwriting activities.

This role will include management of the Credit Team, ownership and compliance of Policy & Procedures, and management of the Prospect and Annual file review pipeline.

This individual will be an active participant in underwriting and providing approval recommendations for Yamaha dealership Wholesale credit facilities, Commercial leases & loans, and OEM partner credit evaluations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Actively participate in underwriting and providing approval recommendations for Yamaha dealership Wholesale credit facilities, Commercial leases & loans, and OEM partner credit evaluations. Interacting with dealer principals, controllers, and accountants.
Management of the Credit team as it pertains to support and mentoring of underwriting performance. Ensures staff are performing duties as outlined in the Policy & Procedure manual and standard underwriting protocols are being adhered to.
Management of the Prospect and Annual file review pipeline. Ensure reviews are completed in a timely manner based on Yamaha Sales and dealer risk priority. Create and monitor underwriting KPI's.
In coordination with Director, Wholesale Finance, propose and drive change implementation to Policy & Procedures and Authorization levels with an effort to streamlining the operation, improve workflow, create efficiencies, and mitigate portfolio risk.
Interact and provide guidance for Yamaha Sales (YMCA) on prospective dealership buyouts (Asset/Share) and present informative financial reports on the dealers and overall portfolio that can help guide YMCA and our dealer partners from a behavioural advisory perspective. Provide thought leadership & insights on dealer network and industry trends by leveraging the internal dealer intelligence database and industry benchmarks.
Human resource employee management including Objective setting, Performance evaluations, ADP, new hires, training & development.

Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements

Degree/Diploma:University Degree, CCP (Certified Credit Professional)

Type of Experience:Wholesale Finance and Commercial Lease/Loan related experience

Skills & Abilities

Deep understanding of the Commercial lending space. (Inventory Floor planning, Lease/Loan)
Solid understanding of the Captive Financing space either in Powersports, or Automobile related fields.
Bilingualism required (English/French)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
Ability to work independently
