About the Role
War Room is looking for an experienced Director of Marketing Data Engineering to join our growing team You will lead the Data and Development teams, which will power how we drive impact for clients and provide critical insights to their businesses. You will lead the vision on how to transform Kedet, our proprietary programmatic advertising engine, to be able to release for direct client usage. You will design how we articulate data to clients while providing clarity and expert insights to enhance performance. As a data guru, you inspire your team to deliver and translate insights into beautiful stories and visualizations.
You will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Please note that this is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in the office with the first 3 months of onboarding fully in the office. We are located at 210 W Broadway, Vancouver.
What You'll Be Doing
Technology Strategy and Implementation
Skills + Experience
10+ years of professional experience in data engineering and/or software development
At least 2 years of experience at a senior leadership level (director or above)
University or college degree in software development, Business Analytics, or a related discipline
An understanding of trends in the digital marketing and ad buying space; a plus if you have exposure to programmatic advertising
You can speak to how you have elevated individual contributors and grown leaders
The ability to operate cross-functionally in a start-up environment - you are as comfortable leading and designing as you are getting your hands dirty
You have the ability to articulate a clear vision, delegate tasks, and motivate your team to achieve business objectives
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
You are intimately familiar with technologies ranging from Adverity, Grow, and Tableau to create data visualizations and leverage them to their full capabilities for recommendations, insights & monitoring
Experience with Looker Studio would be a great asset
Familiar with MSExcel, including vlookup, array formulas, pivot tables, and charts
