Service Manager at our Calmont Equipment -
Bobcat of Edmonton dealership.
Operational requirements include the marketing and profitability of the department, the capacity and efficiency at which it is operating, the quality of the work being performed, the degree of customer satisfaction, and follow-up of workshop statistics.
You will also be responsible for the effective and proactive management of staff resources to facilitate employee retention, productivity, and job satisfaction which are the keys to achieving operational success.
- Ensure all service problems listed by customers are addressed and maintain positive company/customer relationships. Effectively resolve any customer disputes brought forward to achieve customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Develop and maintain adequate systems and procedures to provide a measure of efficiency of the department.
- Establish and direct paper flow for quotations, work orders, work in progress, work in progress exceptions (redo), job closing routines, customer invoicing, purchase requisitions and payables, and management reports.
- Monitor warranty costs and claim performance.
- Ensure the execution of Apprentices' training program and sign off on hours.
- Instruct service technicians of the scope of intended work to be performed with expectations, holding them accountable to said expectations.
- Maintains knowledge of Bobcats maintenance requirements, operations and warranties, campaigns, recalls, and technical service bulletins
- Develop and control financial performance of the department, including: setting annual budget, daily controls, and targets within the company's policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Desired Skills and Experience
- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician.
- Minimum 35 years of related industry experience in a leadership, or managerial/supervisory role.
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
- Working knowledge of a dealership management system.
- Excellent customer service skills with a history of exceeding customer's expectations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a drive to meet tight deadlines.

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edmonton, AB T5L 3C5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
Experience:
- Management: 7 years (required)
