Bilingual Project Lead to join our growing team in
Quebec.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review and understand project plans and job requirements for equipment, materials, and installation.
- Lead the development of the project from beginning to end.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project.
- Oversee permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
- Plan, schedule, and track project timelines to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered ontime, within scope and within budget.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Develop and implement project work plans and review as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Oversee and monitor the performance of subcontractors and employees.
- Ensure daily and weekly records including construction schedules, timecards, work orders, and project status updates, health and safety documentation, invoice trackers, etc.
- Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company health and safety policies.
- Interact clearly, constructively, and positively with all organizational departments to ensure projects are completed effectively and with mínimal disruption to planned events.
- Conduct quality control for work performed by independent contractors.
- Ensure the work sites are maintained in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in the field of Construction Management or related field.
- 5+ Years if experience in Construction.
- 5+ Years of experience as Project Coordinator or Estimator.
- Strong understanding of current construction methods and provincial Building Codes.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and construction documents
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both English and French
- Capacity to manage high stress situations.
- Ability to multitask and manage various project elements simultaneously.
- Indepth understanding of construction procedures and material.
- A positive attitude and willingness to encourage coworkers
- Experience and abilities in leading a project.
