- Assess exposure and determine rates, terms, and conditions of coverage in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers.
- Authorize transmittal of documents to brokers and markets as required.
- Prepare and maintain periodic reports pertinent to the ongoing operation.
- Service current accounts.
- Develop and maintain an awareness of claims and exposures.

- Assist more experienced underwriters with administrative tasks and support.
- Fluently bilingual in both written and oral French is an asset.
- Completed a bachelor's degree majoring in insurance, commerce, business, business administration, economics, finance, statistics, accounting, or mathematics is preferred.
- Work experience in insurance or related industry is an asset.
- Outstanding customer service and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, logical, organized, and decisive.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively function in a team environment.
- Computer literate in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
