Summary/Objective


Supply Chain Manager will oversee the entire supply chain purchasing and distribution process within their region and collaborate with others to ensure the entire supply chain department runs effectively with Operations and Sales.

Managing the inventory of products stored within the warehouse to ensure on-time delivery to manufacturing is an essential piece of the Supply Chain Managers role.

Supply Chain Manager will also collaborate closely with product suppliers and clients to build strong and long-lasting relationships. Continuous negotiation with product carriers to determine and negotiate shipping rates for all incoming materials.

Supply Chain Manager will handle the entire delivery process of products by collaborating with Operations and Sales and scheduling both inbound and outbound shipments and constantly monitoring them to make sure each product arrives on time.

To ensure the supply chain processes are running smoothly, they meet with department heads to review forecasts and planning processes, material cost controls, and on-hand inventories to determine which supply chain improvements need to be made to increase productivity levels across the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates with all departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the Service Centers, recommends appropriate strategic inventory items and levels for company growth
  • Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution, lead sourcing initiatives
  • Assesses the need for material-handling equipment, storage. and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials
  • Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers and/or shipping companies.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments
  • Coordinates company Cycle Count process to ensure acceptable inventory count accuracy to target performance levels
  • Coordinate and oversee physical inventories; schedule, reconcile, and present action plans as applicable to drive continuous improvement and maintain high levels of inventory accuracy and control of processes
  • Responsible for coordinating manufacturing and order fulfillment schedule

Inventory control:

Input/update new & existing parts in inventory computer system

  • Processing customer orders for domestic and international shipments, including generating appropriate paper work
  • Sales & Operations team support
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Performance Management and Success in the Role

The output of the Supply Chain Manager will be linked to the corporate goals of EBITDA, Cash Conversions Cycle, and On-Time Shipments, but will also include the ability to connect with suppliers, internal and external customers, understand the business, and manage the on-site supply chain costs.
