Description
Small operated business currently looking for a assistant controller who can handle the daily financial tasks, including maintaining the day to day accounting records, monitor bank accounts and credit transactions.
They will also verify allocating and tracking expenses.The individual hired must also be motivated, well organized and having minimum 3 -5 years of experience and manage a small office.
Main Responsibilities:
- Account management (billing, tax forms, reporting, year end preparation etc.)
- Formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and establish good practices with the employees.
- Journal entries ,General entry, Invoices, etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly closings and year end.
- Payroll
- Prepare year end financial statements for accountants
- Prepare daily deposits of checks
- Monthly GST/PST/HST reports
- Perform bank and account reconciliation
- Process accounts payable checks and other payment methods
- Perform accounts receivables and payables tasks
- Post vendor invoices
- Knowledge to use Microsoft office and Knowledge to use accounting software
- Manage staff
- Needs to be well organized with ability to prioritize
- Language French and English
- Knowledge to use accounting software
- Other minor daily tasks
Salary:
From $50,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Montréal, QC H1E 2W9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- accounts payable & recievables: 5 years (preferred)
- assistant controller: 5 years (preferred)
Language:
- French & English (required)
