Human Resource Associate
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist supports human resources practices and objectives for a high-performance culture that develops HR tools to increase efficiency and accuracy, productivity and continual development of company practices.
Reports to:
Controller of Finance and Administration
Hours:37.5 per week (Mon-Fri - 8:30-4:30)
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow BCGEU Union protocols in handling all employee relation incidents
- Full Cycle Recruitment: Interviews, Onboarding and Orientation of Community Support Workers & Office Staff
- Strong Focus on Retention
- Tracking Employee Certificates and Training
- Experienced in WCB Form 7 & Internal Investigations
- Personnel Change Forms: benefits, accruals, position changes, hire, terminated, LOA & ROE
- Ceridian Dayforce
- Onboard new employees, process updates/changes
General Responsibility
- New Employee Orientations
- Review Earning Statements for CSWs and PCs each pay run
- Attend Weekly Senior Management Meeting
- Employer Representative: Health & Safety Meetings/Inspections
- Keep Employee Profiles up to date (Positions, Status, Accruals)
- Employee eligibility for sick & vacation accruals
- DMI forms and correspondence
- Monitor staff referral bonus's and progress
- Follow up with staff sick and on leave
- Sick report and letters to be sent out biannually
- MPP information to staff i.e. retirement letters
- Filing, typing of formal letters, updating reports and other duties as assigned and reviewed by Controller
- Follows PIPED rules
Qualifications, Job Skills and Abilities:
- Relevant degree, diploma or experience in Human Resources
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize work and carry out the duties of the position with independence.
- Computer skills especially related to use of office programs.
- Proficient organization, time and general management skills.
- Non-Canadians will be required to provide evidence of landed immigrant status or work visas/permits.
Additional Information:
Limited exposure to demanding telephone callers or in person visitors.

$50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
