    Reporting to the EVP, People this role is responsible for the talent related function of the Castlemain Division of Believeco: Partners including the support of all People related policies, programs and practices. S/he will perform a variety of complex and confidential responsibilities, as well as offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution. This role provides hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues: talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, and training.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Building relationships across the organization in support of a comprehensive talent / people function.
    • Assisting in the design, roll out and implementation of policies, programs and practices to improve organizational efficiency, create an outstanding experience for our people and help align our workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
    • Being the point of contact for our people and managers when it comes to supporting the broader people related function in areas such as, but not limited to, onboarding, performance management, compensation, training, culture and engagement.
    • Contributes to internal projects as required.

    We're looking for someone with:

    • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Psychology, Industrial Relations and/or a related field.
    • Minimum of five (5) years work experience in a Talent / People / HR role and/or equivalent combination of education and experience;
    • CPHR designation or CPHR candidate.
    • Successful background check.
    • Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations and/or governments would be an asset;
    • Well-honed interpersonal and communication skills will provide the sensitivity and relationship building skills required to work collaboratively with a successful track record in working with people at all levels.
    • Has the ability to influence without authority, develop consensus, and build rapport with a wide variety of people.
    • Strategic mindset balanced with operational proficiency.
    • Solid knowledge of Canada Labour Code, Employment Standard Act, Human Rights and other applicable employment legislation.
    • Strong employee relations and conflict resolution skills.
    • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning skills to lead operational excellence.
    • Business minded recommending strategic solutions to the leadership team.
    • Ability to prioritize and effectively deliver on a complex portfolio of work meeting deadlines and budgets, while ensuring high quality work.
    • Proven ability to deliver results working independently or within a team environment.
    • Competence in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
    • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in Indigenous issues in BC and Canada, including Indigenous governance and community development.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
    • High degree of professionalism in representing the organization.
    • Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations and/or governments would be an asset.
    • Shares a passion for partnering with Indigenous communities to support their plans and goals.
    • Demonstrates a passion for learning, both to improve your skill set as well as develop a better understanding of our clients and our company.
    • Is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to bring concepts to life.
    • Has a track record of driving innovation within the Talent / People function.

    • Believeco: Partners has a hybrid work model with the expectations that individuals attend their closest office if they are within a 45 km radius 3 days per week. If outside of this radius BCP encourages individuals to attend functions when possible to help drive connection to local colleagues and support a strong company culture.

    Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000
