Customer Research Interviewer — 21 Warm Calls to Existing Customers

Job description
We sell personalized songs based on customers' astrological birth charts. We need someone to call 21 of our existing customers to understand who they are and why they bought.THE JOB:
- Call 21 existing customers who have already purchased (warm, friendly calls — NOT cold calling or sales)
- Ask 23 simple openended questions about why they ordered and what the experience meant to them
- Let them talk. Listen. Follow up naturally when they say something interesting. Do NOT lead or orient their answers in any direction — we want raw, unfiltered truth
- Record every single call (with the customer's consent) and share the recordings with us
- If someone wants to chat for 20 minutes, let them. If someone only has 2 minutes, that's fine too. Every bit of insight counts.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Based in the US with a US phone number
- Native American English speaker
- Warm, genuine, conversational tone — you sound like a friend checking in, not a researcher reading a script
- Strong active listening skills — you're comfortable with silence and know that's when people open up
- Familiarity with astrology (birth charts, sun/moon/rising signs, transits, synastry). You don't need to be a professional astrologer, but if a customer mentions their Saturn return or their Scorpio moon, you should know what they're talking about and engage naturally
- Experience with qualitative customer interviews or UX research is a big plus
WHAT THIS IS NOT:
- Not a sales call. Not a survey. Not a marketing pitch.
- You are not trying to convince anyone of anything
- You are simply having a genuine conversation and letting the customer share their story
DELIVERABLES:
- Recorded audio files of every call
- A brief summary for each call (35 bullet points of key takeaways)
