Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA):

  • Job Duties
    Job Duties
  • The Student Services Operations Coordinator plays a central role in providing consistent operational support for multiple Student Services areas.

These areas of consistency include:
- current and prospective student front-line support and triage;
- data tracking and reporting;
- logístical, financial and records management;
- multi-departmental and Student Services Operations planning and communications support.

Each Operations Coordinator handles duties associated with each of these areas for different student services units and is able to support other Operations Coordinators with other areas, through cross-training, team decision-making, and necessity.

The Operations Coordinator is also, therefore, a member of a provincial team, and is able to work with colleagues on provincial, streamlined solutions to administrative needs and issues.

This provincial model allows for the Student Services Operations Coordinator to have wider impact across the organization, creating opportunities for innovation in improved administrative procedures and practices and ensuring that students, staff and faculty are consistently receiving the best possible level of service and support.

The model also allows for efficiencies of scale, by ensuring that all departmental units are receiving the level of services and supports needed for their smooth administrative functioning, and by ensuring that provincial initiatives, such as special events or consolidated financial/reporting requirements, are coordinated and administered effectively.

In many ways, the Student Services Operations Coordinator provides both the "face" and administrative "function" for multiple, key areas of Student Services, as well as other areas of student support.
