What you'll do:


Reporting to the Manager, Data Analytics, the Data Research Analyst will research new and emerging capabilities in advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to support business operations, support identification of new services, and improve process efficiency.


The primary duties of the Data Research Analyst are to:

  • Conduct research, data analysis, quantitative analysis, and machine learning with a focus on delivering value-added data solutions to the organization
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders and technical teams both on
- and off-site to facilitate research activities

  • Assist with selection and implementation of systems that support business needs while aligning to LTSA technology standards.
  • Support the Data Analytics team as needed with the analysis, visualization, and processing of data to support the LTSA

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, or a similar field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, either through direct work experience, education, or a combination of both
  • Experience developing tools and solutions leveraging machine learning or artificial intelligence capabilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficient with programming and query languages such as Python, R, and SQL
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and AI capabilities and implementation
  • Proven ability to clearly document and understand business requirements, existing processes, and ideal outcomes
  • Strong initiative and ability to continuously learn and develop both technical and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at working in both business and technology domains
