DESCRIPTION


Join our dynamic team as a Traffic Coordinator/Community Liaison We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to oversee traffic planning, safety coordination, and community engagement on urban heavy civil projects.

If you have a passion for ensuring the smooth flow of traffic, addressing community concerns, and enhancing public safety, this is the role for you.


As a Traffic Coordinator/Community Liaison, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing comprehensive traffic management plans, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to minimize disruptions and ensure safe traffic flow.

You will also serve as the primary point of contact for the community, addressing questions, concerns, and inquiries related to project developments, public safety, noise concerns, and traffic delays.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement traffic management plans for urban heavy civil projects
  • Coordinate with local authorities, transportation agencies, and law enforcement
  • Conduct traffic flow assessments to identify congestion points and safety hazards and collaborates with project manager, engineers, or planners to develop strategies for minimizing disruptions
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and the community, addressing concerns and building positive relationships
  • Acts as a mediator between the project team and client representatives or community officials, actively seeking solutions that balance project requirements with community needs and concerns
  • Provide clear and accurate communication of project objectives, timelines, and impacts
  • Collaborate with project managers and public relations teams to develop informational materials
  • Monitor and evaluate traffic control measures and make adjustments as necessary
  • Attend community meetings and events to present project plans and gather feedback

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of traffic management regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problemsolving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Confident public speaking skills and ability to present information to large audiences.
  • Valid class 5 drivers licence and clean drivers abstract.

LANGUAGES

  • Must be able to communicate verbally and through written language (by hand and digitally) in English.
