We are currently recruiting for a Linehaul Dispatch Supervisor for Afternoon Shifts (3:00 p.m.

Whom you are reporting to:


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the daytoday operations in the Linehaul Dispatch Department as well as assist with P&D dispatch duties and also planning and forecasting of linehaul schedules
  • Dispatching functions to company Drivers, 3rd Party Carriers and Owner/Operators across
  • Review operational efficiencies and effect change as necessary in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies. Also, recommending, implement and maintain performance and productivity measurements
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers in order to resolve service
  • Responsible for Customs Clearances, including setting up ACI and ACE.
  • Schedule repairs and maintenance for equipment.
  • Ensure Drivers and Carriers follow Company Safety Policies and Procedures for example: HOS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, etc
  • Completion of daily reports

Qualifications include:

-
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a transportation dispatch environment specially with Linehaul Department.

  • Strong leadership, management and analytical, organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual in French is an asset)
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of Gmail and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours (afternoons, evenings and weekends) as necessary
  • High School or equivalent
  • Ministry of Transportation regulations
  • Knowledge of Transportation Operating Systems
