In alignment with the Vision and Values of Niagara Health, we are recruiting a dynamic leader who excels in engaging people, promoting quality, building successful teams, planning and decision making.

Reporting to the Manager of Outpatient Mental Health, the successful individual will be responsible for the operational management of the Outpatient Mental Health located at St.

Catharines Site, Welland Site and Niagara Falls Site.

In this role, you will be accountable for the client experience, day-to-day operations, client flow, people management, fiscal stewardship, risk management and safety, and the provision of high quality care through a commitment to continuous improvement.

Clinical supervision throughout the broader mental health program will promote development and standardization of best practice across sites. The successful applicant will also provide after hours on call management support to the St. Catharines Site.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in a health related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current registration with a relevant regulatory body and membership in applicable professional association.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the RHPA and Individual Regulatory College Standards of Practice.
  • Minimum of 5 years' related clinical experience and/or direct client experience in a mental health and/or addictions setting.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of quality improvement.
  • Sound analytical skills including conceptualizing, developing and executing a wide variety of projects.
  • Working knowledge of legislation affecting provincial healthcare and labour agreements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Standards in Mental Health and Addictions care.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively within an inter-professional team.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large/diversified workload with rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines.
  • Superior interpersonal and leadership skills including but not limited to: critical thinking, communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, visionary thinking, organizational skills, effective customer service, decision making skills and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development in healthcare and or business
  • Familiarity with program development related to mental health and addictions care is an asset.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
  • Consistent and regular attendance required.
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
