We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a
Co-operative Education Coordinator.

In this role, you'll be the driving force behind our Engineering and Science Co-op & Internship programs, specializing in Industrial, Environmental, Energy, Process disciplines, and Actuarial Internships.

From nurturing existing employer relationships to expanding our network and guiding students towards their dream careers, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the professional journeys of our students.


What You'll Do:


  • Foster strong relationships with current Coop & Internship employers.
  • Dive into the world of marketing, actively promoting our programs to attract new employers.
  • Scout for fresh talent by recruiting new employers into our programs.
  • Conduct thorough job site evaluations to ensure the best experiences for our students.
  • Take the spotlight with engaging public presentations to various stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance to students on Coop & Internship opportunities and other employmentrelated matters.
  • Act as a bridge between the Career Education department and the Faculty of Engineering/Department of Math & Stats, including the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
  • Empower students with the skills to navigate our career platform, Orbis CareerConnect.
  • Keep a watchful eye on placements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness within CareerConnect.
  • Stay on top of international student placements and work permit deadlines.
  • Plus, dive into any other exciting duties or portfolios that come your way

Position Requirements


What You Will Bring to the Position:

  • A University undergraduate degree in any discipline is required, Master's degree is preferred; and
  • Minimum of 7 years' related experience.
  • Previous experience as a University of Regina Coop student or experience in human resource management and/or marketing are definite assets.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role:

  • A background in career counseling and teaching would be an asset;
  • An excellent understanding of the Centre for Experiential and Service Learning (CESL) and Career Education as well as the Coop and Internship programs at the University of Regina;
  • Demonstrated experience working in complex databases such as: ORBIS Outcomes Career Connect, Banner, Caspur, MS Access, would be an asset;
  • Working with or counseling/advising International students would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Regina is strong asset;
  • Good familiarity with the labour market in Saskatchewan and Alberta especially as it relates to Engineering jobs;
  • Exceptional presentation/interviewing skills;
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Welldeveloped conflict management skills coupled with clear judgement;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently;
  • Highlyorganized and an effective time manager;
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, travel within and outside the province and country when required; and, Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and be available to travel, one to two weeks per term, if needed.
Physical Demands

Light lifting at certain times during the year - helping with career fairs, set-up, etc.

Pay Grade APT 5 Salary Range $72,700 - $98,092 Annually Status Permanent Work Hours


Workdays are 8:15am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, but there are times during the year when early mornings and some evenings are required.

There are also times work or travel will occur on weeken
