The Retail Advice & Solutions Financial Portfolio Manager understands Key Initiative (project) portfolio budgets and planning, how aligning our key initiatives portfolio funding to strategy is a critical step in driving outcomes, and is laser-focused on the details.

Working directly with the AVP, Agile Portfolio Management and in close collaboration with finance partners, this role is accountable for managing portfolio financials across all 3 of our RA&S business verticals, including annual planning, change requests, governance updates, reporting, and maintaining the financial book of record.

This role is key in driving actions and decisions to keep portfolio spend on target throughout the year, and instrumental in building and evolving our portfolio financials processes and reporting to keep pace with Agile ways of working.


What will you do?

  • Know the numbers, analyze trends, provide valuable insight to inform leadership conversations, and drive decisionmaking to keep alignment of portfolio investments to strategy
  • Build, maintain, and publish the financial book of record for RA&S portfolios on an effective cadence to drive decisionmaking
  • Manage the creation of frontline forecasting, planning, and reporting of initiative
- and persistent team financials, including supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables with finance partners

  • Interface with agile teams weekly to understand the nature of portfolio spend, discuss trends, and plan coursecorrections when needed
  • Manage the change request process for the RA&S portfolio
  • Create and deliver team communications for ongoing priorities, including financials activities, new processes, changes to existing processes
  • Work with adhoc team members to lead or support problemsolving, and to gain team alignment ahead of key decisions.
  • Create high quality presentation material for our executive team that deliver critical insights and steer conversations to the issues that matter
  • Support the AVP, Agile Portfolio Management by actively participating in key events and ceremonies with leadership and governance groups

What do you need to succeed?

Domain Expertise:

  • Experience in successfully managing portfolio or large program/project financials
  • Background in economics, finance or business administration
  • History of process ownership, continual process improvement and lean process design
  • Exposure to scaled agile or lean portfolio management

Agile Experience:

  • 3+ years in Lean portfolio or Agile portfolio management is preferred
  • LPM, PMP certification is a strong asset

Individual Skills:

  • Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, combined with an exceptional communications skillset
  • Experience building dashboards and reports that identify and surface key insights to inform decisions
  • Intermediate to advancedlevel excel and presentation skills
  • Processoriented, with an attention to detail and information quality
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • A desire to commit to and get things done, and the initiative to take the lead and drive to resolution
  • Ability to adjust shifting priorities and manage through ambiguity
  • The ability to effectively influence people to all levels in a fastmoving environment
  • Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace
