Casual Roving Frontline Supervisor - Victoria, Canada - Victoria Cool Aid Society
Description
This is a great opportunity to join an organization that is committed to ending homelessness and improving the lives of the most vulnerable in our community.
The Roving Frontline Supervisor is a keystone in our housing and shelter support team. As a Front Line Supervisor you will work to: plan and assign tasks, delegate and monitor work assignments and staff performance, provide feedback, and ensure client needs are met. This position ensures proper flow of communication between your manager and community partners and families. You will follow up with emergency services (such as police, ambulance, and emergency mental health) and others as required. As a Frontline Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the frontline operations and safety of the site throughout your scheduled shift.
We are looking for an individual that has the proven ability to respectfully supervise assigned tasks and effectively manage the myriad of tasks and decisions that occur on shift. Someone with the philosophy, energy, and leadership skills to collaborate and succeed. You will also bring sound understanding of the support needs of people struggling with low income and complex health needs.
The successful candidate will lead by example in promoting a culture of health, safety, and well-being of individuals by ensuring that site specific guidelines and all health and safety policies, standards, regulations, and practices are implemented and complied with by residents, staff, and visitors. Above all we are looking for a motivated, committed individual who has a genuine desire to support people to thrive and age in place with dignity.
