Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Corporate Product Manager - Steel based in one of our following locations; Regina, Calgary or Edmonton.

This position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive the Sales/Service/Training of Brandt's BMH40 Material Handler, and subsequent models.

With guidance and direction from the Director of Sales - Steel and the VP of Sales - Steel, Rail, and Mill Yard, this position will also be responsible to support the growth of whole goods sales across the Canadian steel industry segment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Sales team on customer calls
Provide competitive analysis for all Steel product lines
Identify customer needs and industry trends
Provide demo support to the sales team
Work to understand our customers operational pain points and provide solutions. (Utilize Brandt custom engineered solutions when applicable)
Keep current on products, features, and benefits and be comfortable explaining and demonstrating them
Become proficient at demonstrating the BMH40 Material Handler (embedding yourself as our resident expert)
Become a product knowledge expert across Brandt sold products and competitive technologies and innovations
Assist in customer training
Assist in training the sales team

Required Skills:

Proven selling and communication skills
Proven organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft office suite
Fluency in both French and English is considered an asset

Required Experience

510 years' sales experience within the industry
Recent driver's abstract is required
Must be able to obtain, or currently possess a valid passport and be able to travel within Canada as well as internationally
Comprehensive knowledge of steel making process and scrap metals cycle.
Experience dealing with large account customers and their purchasing practices
