Energy Assessor - Field Sales Representative

Job Type:
Fixed-term contract (7 months)

Location:
Toronto

Pay Rate:
Piecework plus Commission (hourly rate for training only and then it becomes piecework and commission after training)**
Hours: Monday -Friday

Overview

Responsibilities

Work independently and as part of a team to engage small businesses in utilityfunded energy conservation opportunities while travelling to small businesses.
Visit businesses based on a schedule that varies by city and where open time slots are filled by canvassing surrounding businesses.
Conduct walkthrough energy audits for the Save On Energy Small Business Program as a field program delivery representative in Toronto.
Maintain an excellent customer service record while presenting program information directly to smallmedium business owners and their management, accommodating their interests, needs, and timelines.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Postsecondary education and/or relevant experience in the environmental sector is desired.
Outside sales experience
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service and interpersonal skills; highly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team; positive attitude and enthusiasm for working within the energy and environment sector
Must be computer literate.
The ability to speak multiple languages is considered an asset but not required.
Technical knowledge of lighting and lighting systems is preferred but not required, as this will be taught.

Compensation:
The position offers competitive pay that includes piecework/commission
