Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team.

As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding payments and resolve any issues related to accounts receivable.

This is a challenging role that requires excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.


Responsibilities:

• Negotiate payment arrangements and develop repayment plans
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach
• Update customer account information and payment records accurately
• Perform account analysis to identify delinquent accounts and determine appropriate actions
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries and disputes
• Utilize accounting software to track and manage collections activities
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to data protection regulations
• Meet collection targets and deadlines set by the company

Skills:

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations tactfully
• Proficient in data entry and record keeping
• Excellent negotiation skills to effectively resolve payment disputes
• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and best practices
• Familiarity with financial services and basic accounting principles
• Ability to analyze customer accounts and identify patterns or trends
• Strong phone etiquette with clear verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills for accurate calculations and payment reconciliations

Salary:
From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
