Description
Facilitates meeting discussions for decision-making with external stakeholders, including the client.

  • Provide direction/guidance to a team (including junior staff). Does not need to know all the technical answers but should be able to critically think and provide a path forward to each individual on a specific issue (e.g., change order, RFI, submittal review, etc.).
  • Provides technical guidance and training to more junior staff. Reviews the work of more junior staff.
  • Prioritize/organize team's tasks in a fastpaced environment, subsequently appropriately delegating to team members, and providing the guidance needed.
  • Email tracking/organization is important to address items from stakeholders (including the client) in a timely manner.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates construction projects, ranging from routine and moderately complex projects to large, multiplecontract projects.
  • Performs oversight of construction personnel working on largesized assigned area of the construction site or the full project for small to mediumsized projects.
  • Ensures construction work put in place matches construction plans.
  • Reviews contract terms and conditions.
  • Documents deficiencies expected cost overruns, materials issues and any other related construction issue or risk related to their area of oversight

Prepares related reports (ex:
monthly progress reports, etc.). Maintains daily report of construction activities.

  • Ensures construction timelines, costs, and materials are in compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Identifies deficiencies in constructed structures.
  • Scope of human resources management includes both the construction representative and construction coordinator job families.
  • Coordinates and controls all construction management activities, including CPM, scheduling and claims administration.
  • Provides internal consultation to construction representatives in project offices and acts as a technical resource to other function groups within the division.
  • Interprets plans and specifications for clients, contractors and the firm's field personnel.
  • Develops new opportunities for business through proposal preparation and general contact with current and potential clients.
  • Assists in administration and operation of the construction services group, as required.
  • Reviews government regulations in order to provide consultation services that reflect an uptodate knowledge and understanding of legal requirements.
  • Provides expert witness service in claims administration cases.
  • Supervises and coordinates all shop drawing activities.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 10 Years of experience in construction or Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and 15 years of construction experience or a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and 15 years of experience of construction experience or 22 years of construction experience in lieu of degree.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
