We are looking for a
Human Resources Generalist based out of our head office Dueck on Marine to help us develop and implement effective people initiatives across four dealerships.


As an
HR Generalist, you will work closely with the HR Manager and become a resource to departmental managers for continuously improving employee experience.

Your areas of responsibility will include Talent Acquisition, Onboarding and Offboarding, Performance Management, Employee File Management, and HR Administration.

You will have an opportunity to bring existing expertise in some areas and receive training to support your development in areas you are less familiar with.

As a trusted partner, the HR Generalist has a unique opportunity to foster HR progressive practices, impact organizational culture and further develop new programs.


Your Capabilities:


  • 23 years of experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Preferably CPHR certified or working towards a professional designation
  • Postsecondary training or certification in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Act (ESA), Human Rights Code, Workers Compensation Act, and Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and ability to research statutes and common law
  • Commitment to continuous learning to update industry knowledge
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Detailorientated and conscientious work ethic
  • Selfdriven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment

What your day will look like:

  • Develop talent pipelines through various channels and continually strive to improve the employer's brand and social presence
  • Onboard new hires and administer Offer Letters and New Hire Packages
  • Collaborate with Departmental Managers and Payroll to maintain employee files up to date, including new hire records, employee promotions and transfers, personal information updates, and terminations
  • Conduct exit interviews and compile, analyze, and present collected data
  • Update and create company policies
  • Support Departmental Managers with performance evaluation process
  • Develop and maintain organizational charts (Payworks)
  • Manage private information with high confidentiality
  • Escalate HR issues to Department Manager and HR Manager to ensure effective conflict resolution
  • Create meaningful and trusting partnerships with managers and employees to achieve common goals
