Job Overview:

As
Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will fill a leadership role in supporting your hotel's financial goals by assisting the Food and Beverage in the daily operations of the restaurant to include other areas of the Food and Beverage and Banquet departments.

You will ensure the highest quality of product and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues and profitability.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensures high level of customer service standards throughout restaurant, other areas of food and beverage and banquet departments.
  • Assists with development, implementation and follow up of menus, marketing promotions, etc.
  • Assists in recruiting, training, developing, scheduling and supervising of Food and Beverage service staff.
  • Provides strong leadership through positive reinforcement, training and coaching
  • Assists with managing labor expenses with productivity guidelines
  • Leads a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the highest quality experience is provided to guests/customers.
  • Inspects restaurant and banquets daily to ensure high quality food and food presentation, cleanliness and side work duties completed
  • Participates in monthly inventories. Initiates programs to reduce breakage and loss of china, glassware and silver.
  • Conduct preshift meetings to inform staff of daily events; ensures staff is prepared, organized and delivers high standards of service
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1 year previous Supervisory or Management Food and Beverage position in hotel environment
  • Serviceoriented with problem solving, decision making skills for both guests/customers and staffing concerns
  • Knowledge of food, wine, spirits, and understanding of culinary terms
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts; days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Education

  • Post-Secondary School Diploma
  • Hospitality Management Diploma or Degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year previous Supervisory or Management Food and Beverage position in hotel environment

Licenses/Certifications

  • Smart Serve certification is required

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Holidays
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff and guests required to wear face masks indoors, sanitized stations through out hotel. Hilton Brand and Ontario Government protocols


Experience:


  • Supervisory / Management F&B position in hotel environment: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Smart Serve Certification (required)
