JOB DESCRIPTION:


Our Blue Streak-Hygrade Motor Products division allows SMP to lead the way in the Canadian automotive aftermarket where we supply the highest quality engine management and temperature control product for domestic and import vehicles.

We have marketed our lines in Canada under the Blue Streak name since the late 1940s.


We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Marketing Co-ordinator on a 3-month contract basis.

Successful applicants will have a solid background in Marketing and be familiar with website management, product promotion, pricing and other marketing initiatives.


Responsibilities will include:

Market Data Analysis

  • Responsible for competitive pricing data, market analysis and management of branded price files.
Digital Marketing

  • Manage, coordinate and maintain Canadian website and internal online portal content. Responsible for implementing and uploading of all Canadian changes and updates to website.
Data analysis

  • Conduct regular analysis of marketing performance metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including design, sales, and product, to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing materials.
  • Manages Canadian sales, marketing, and administrative correspondence/bulletins through dedicated Canadian SharePoint site, including labor claim process for engine management and temperature control categories.
  • Provide IT support to marketing team members (troubleshoot software issues; assist with data analysis, Zoom etc.).
Marketing Planning & Programs

  • Manage and develop customer support programs, marketing materials, sales incentive programs, advertising and other marketing projects, including internal requirements.
  • Manage trade show booth program including development of materials, preparation of trade show requirements and shipping/receiving of booth elements.
  • Management of warranty claim program.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for customers and internal requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Completion of postsecondary education in Marketing, Communications or Business, or related experience/training with a minimum 2 years' experience in the Marketing field.
  • Excellent organizational skills, highly motivated, results oriented, and capable of decisionmaking and problem solving.
  • Capable of working under multiple deadlines, selfstarter, ability to work individually or collaboratively with other team members and departments.
  • High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Internet principles and practice.
  • Professional manner with strong customer service skills and positive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary:
$40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
