Forbes Bros Ltd. is seeking an experienced
Foreman (full-time) to support the FB Connect - Electric Vehicle Charging Stations team This position will support projects with the installation of electric vehicle charging stations for world renowned vehicle manufacturers. These projects will be mainly within, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba areas.


The Foreman will be responsible for planning and delegating daily job duties and tasks to assigned crew members in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities will also include ensuring proper working conditions, conducting appropriate inspections and management of materials as required, and meeting customer set deadlines and timelines.

Responsibilities:


  • Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every day
  • Handle creation of job duties and delegate tasks to site crews
  • Assist with daily work and job planning
  • Read and interpret record drawings and blueprints
  • Set elevations and grades for underground pipework, pads, vaults boxes and more
  • Oversee and supervise subcontractors to work within tight power outage timelines
  • Coordinate inspections as required
  • Meet and deliver on customer set deadlines as per timelines
  • Manage material takeoff and quantities
  • Effectively problem solve through coordination with management and engineering professionals
  • Complete daily pretrip inspections and weekly audits on assigned crew vehicles; ensure compliance to company and transportation standards
  • Consistently mentor, train and improve new and existing employees
  • Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned

What We Are Looking For:


  • Relevant experience in the construction industry, required
  • Experience in innovative construction, an asset
  • Experience with concrete trade and/or carpentry trade, an asset
  • Previous experience in a lead capacity role managing crews, required
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe PDF
  • Able and willing to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of Pre-Access D&A testing, presenting a valid Driver's License and an acceptable drivers abstract
