We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Protective Services Supervisor to join our Resource Protection team in Calgary, Alberta (Alberta Field Office).


Reporting to the Manager, Protective Services, you will be responsible for the ongoing operational support of all aspects of the Protective Services Program.


You will be responsible for:

  • Supervising the budgeting, scheduling, training, coaching, and mentoring of the regional Team Members.
  • Sending out monthly RPP schedules related to the needs and requests of the stores, management, and regional teams.
  • Performing daily administrative duties such as updating the Master Database, processing RPP terminations, general paperwork and other adhoc tasks as required.
  • Providing direction and delegation of tasks to the regional Assistant Supervisor(s).
  • Ensure that all RPP understand and are in compliance of policies and procedures by performing "spot checks."
  • Managing conflict resolution and corrective action and ensuring all major incidents are escalated to the appropriate parties.
  • Conducting and facilitating investigations related to critical incidents, as well as complaints from customers or store management.
  • Assisting with live surveillance and/or installation of covert camera equipment.
  • Coordinating monthly team meetings.
  • Performing periodic reviews of the RPP security audits.
  • Coordinating contract security services as required.
  • Conducting timely and regular performance evaluations in consultation with the Assistant Supervisor(s).
  • Ordering and maintaining uniform inventory.
  • Performing other duties as required by the RPP Manager.

You have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the Resource Protection Department.
  • Familiarity with the Criminal Code of Canada including knowledge related to all aspects of court proceedings and the ability to attend court proceedings as required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding on the use of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding on the use of Microsoft Teams, VIGIL Client, and/or AxxonNext.
  • Experience as an RPP Trainer, Loss Prevention Officer (LPO), or Assistant Supervisor (2IC) is an asset.
  • Experience with Workers Compensation or injury claims is an asset.
  • Experience liaising with law enforcement is an asset.
