Purpose


Reporting to the Director Data & Analytics, the Manager Digital Health & Integration is responsible for providing advice on all aspects of the provincial and regional initiatives, including implementing best practices regarding system optimization, integration and deployment, as well as establishing sound and appropriate support processes.

The Manager, with the Director, provides guidance and support to key regional stakeholders on systems, integration and the initiative's digital footprint.


Duties:

The Manager Digital Health & Integration is responsible for:

  • Collaborating with leaders to establish, implement and support the regional and provincial initiative tools and structures.
  • Working collaboratively with leadership to ensure support requests and implementations are delivered on time and to the highest quality; using best practices in analysis, communication & implementation.
  • Providing guidance and support to Operations and the implementation Teams as well as key stakeholders.

Accountability #1:

Technical System - Architecture & Planning**- Engages stakeholders and partners to understand and analyze the requirements to determine technology solution needs.


  • Ensures team members and stakeholders work according to policy and procedures and identifies risks with current practices. Escalates issues to Director as required.
  • Identifies issues and takes initiative in working out optimal solutions with appropriate stakeholders to improve accuracy, timeliness, connectivity, and other issues.
  • Maintains standards and procedures as required, ensuring appropriate access to and sharing of sensitive health data.
  • Leads key technical work streams or engagements, driving the completion of specific work streams or deliverables.

Accountability #2:

Partnerships & Engagement**- Creates and develops partnerships and communicates effectively with leaders, as well as external partners including service delivery partners, vendors, Ministry, Ontario Health, and others to ensure planning and initiatives are aligned.


  • Manages regional/local stakeholders and project teams through regular consultation to improve the Digital System experience and support best practice workflows.
  • Participates in core project leadership discussions and decisions.
  • Fosters collaboration and effective working relationships with stakeholders that promote cooperative goals and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.

Accountability #3:
Vendor Management**- Works with key stakeholders and vendors (i.e. leadership) to develop, document, test, and communicate downtime and business recovery processes.

  • Liaises with vendors and obtain quotes and/or information about products to support procurement activities.

Accountability #4:
Operational Support


  • Oversees daytoday management and workload of the Technical operational team members and provides guidance to meet business needs.
  • Regularly monitors team productivity, progress, and effectiveness of team in comparison to established performance metrics and operational KPIs.
  • Reviews monthly metrics and reports to draw insights on volume and type of operational issues received and resolved as per the service level agreements and correct accordingly.

Accountability #5:
Implementation Planning & Project Management


  • Oversee all digital project progress and evaluate according to established goals.
  • Identifies, tracks, manages, and mitigates/resolves risks and integration issues, ensuring systems teams conduct routine system monitoring.
  • Updates technical and interface project plans, technical trackers, and other work plans.
  • Manages all aspects of multiple concurrent projects from initiation to completion including scope, risk, change, issue, schedule, cost, quality and communication, involving the area director and vendors as required.

Leadership


  • Leads teams to provide insightful and impactful solutions to complex client issues, leveraging analytical approaches, established methodologies and critical thinking skills.
