Weaver Group is currently looking for an
EXPERIENCED LABOURERS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATORS FOR CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Labourers:

Assist in the installation of new pipes using an assortment of tools and equipment
Assist in the connection of multiple pipes together by sealing joints
Dig trenches when pipes need to be laid beneath the earth, and cover the pipes once they are in place with dirt or other similar materials
Operate pickup trucks and rollers frequently whenever materials need to be transported away from the worksite
Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License and have reliable transportation
Knowledge of OHS protocols and compliance within the industry
Capable of taking direction and working independently
Must be able to work cohesively as part of a diverse team
Able to assess, identify and minimize safety risks and hazards
Capable of performing physically demanding work
Willing to work outdoors for extended periods of time in all climates

Operators:

Extensive experience in civil construction
Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Calculate weight, distance, volume and length measurements
Competent to operate on adverse terrain, in adverse weather, near power lines, near water lines and in tight work areas
Perform daily inspections, equipment maintenance and servicing and required paperwork.
Identify safety risks and hazards and comply with relevant safety procedures and regulations
Must have good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to self motivate while working independently
5+ years experience operating equipment in heavy civil construction
Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation
Valid H2S, CSO, and Standard First Aid with Level C CPR, Ground Disturbance Level 2

Subcontractor rates available to Equipment Operators. Live out allowance available to those who qualify. Wages dependent upon experience and contractor/employee status.
