JOB SUMMARY

With direction from the Design Manager and assistance from the Project Engineer, the Detailer will create and maintain 3D project models and drawings using REVIT and add-on software.

They will issue erection drawings for site use, along with materials for fabrication, and will be responsible for logging, gathering, and acting on information as it relates to the design portion on the project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Advance Steel and Microsoft Office
• Review and check architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings
• Follow standards and procedures to create iSPAN shop drawings
• Create machine files for production
• Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure correct and efficient flow of project information ie. RFI's and changes in design scope
• Update drawings based on internal and client revisions/markups

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Engineering/Architectural Technology or a combination of education and experience
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of framing and steel fabrication is an asset
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings
