This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment and receipt of products in the Edmonton store location.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

Shipping Duties:


  • Prepare shipments for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure packaged items are secure to prevent damage during transit.
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation using shipping software.
  • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain shipping records and track shipments to ensure ontime delivery.
  • Communicate with internal departments to coordinate shipping activities.

Receiving Duties:


  • Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
  • Inspect and document any damages or discrepancies in received goods.
  • Sort and distribute received items to appropriate departments or storage areas.
  • Update inventory records to reflect incoming stock accurately.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding any issues with shipments or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory control teams to resolve discrepancies or issues.

Inventory Management:


  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through regular stock counts and audits.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available for outgoing orders.
  • Identify and report any inventory shortages or excesses to management.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.

General Responsibilities:


  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while handling shipments and operating equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in shipping and receiving areas.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is required
  • Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and operate warehouse equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to shipping and receiving activities.

Work Environment:
The work environment for this position may include exposure to warehouse conditions, including varying temperatures, and noise. The role may require standing / walking for extended periods and lifting up to 75 lbs.


Salary:
$20.00 per hour
