Major Responsibilities:

  • Develops, prepares and maintains models for transaction pricing of both electricity and natural gas contracts
  • Performs analysis of customer load and provides product solutions to Account Managers
  • Conducts pricing system and process reviews to suggest improvements; develops and maintains pricing process documentation
  • Leads crossfunctional work groups & projects to improve systems and processes
  • Tests new solutions and systems to ensure proper implementation
  • Ensures company policies and procedures are adhered to, reporting exceptions as required
  • Provides regular retail market reports for the Sales teams & customers and adhoc reporting (as required) to senior leaders within ENMAX Energy
  • Develops and delivers training programs and materials to Sales and other stakeholders
  • Mentors and coaches Retail sales and support team members regarding pricing and related processes
  • Maintains transactions in the Energy Trading & Risk Management system

Education:


  • University degree in Business/Commerce, Engineering or Economics

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 year's related experience
  • Experience in the Alberta competitive energy marketplace and a data science background would be considered strong assets
  • Ability to work with our internal business partners (i.e. Sales, Trading), including senior leaders, to discuss and make recommendations regarding pricing for customers
  • Experience and ability to solve technical and nontechnical problems
  • Work autonomously with guidance in only the most complicated pricing/contracting situations for large customers
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial modeling and pricing approaches
  • Understanding of Alberta commodity markets electricity & natural gas
  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills

  • Strong people leader and team player, with the ability to motivate teams as well as partner and work with all business units and operations process
  • Strong time and task/project tracking skills

Salary:
Analyst Level C (Current CUPE 2024 rates)

$97, $103, $109, $115, $121,507.75

Location:

This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB).

You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
