Job Summary
Reporting to the Director Central Regional Cancer Program, the Central Regional Cancer
Program/SRCC Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative, coordination and organizational support to the Central Regional Cancer Program leadership.

The Administrative Assistant will provide confidential and time sensitive administrative support to the Central Regional Director and the Regional Vice President as required.

The Administrative Assistant will function with a high degree of attention to detail, quality of workmanship, accuracy and ability to prioritize work in a dynamic, fast paced, setting often working with competing priorities.


Qualifications:


  • Completion of a recognized postsecondary office administration program at the certificate level or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years related administrative support experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, TEAMS and Outlook required.
  • Health care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hospital policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to manage data to produce statistics, metrics, scorecards and reports required.
  • Demonstrates excellence in drafting communications, documents and presentations.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience engaging with staff/physicians/volunteers including patient and family advisors.
  • Relevant knowledge related to the Patient Experience model in an acute setting preferred.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to Southlake Regional Health Centre standards.
  • Adept in the use of technology to support the program functions.
  • Demonstrated initiative, accuracy, leadership and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written, combined with a customer focused approach and ability to handle requests in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong multitasking ability.
  • Ability to organize a heavy and fluctuating workload in a changing environment.
  • Ability to deal effectively with multiple priorities and possess tact and diplomacy in dealing with inquiries and requests for information.
  • Demonstrates initiative, high degree of accuracy and ability to handle a complexity of tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to use good judgement in assessing difficult situations with resourcefulness and strong problem solving skills to anticipate the needs of others while working in a fast paced team environment.
  • Ability to identify administrative problems and make recommendations to solve them.
  • Polished, professional interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment and with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Professional and customer service oriented with an ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Proven attendance record.
