POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sewer/Assembler for our Fall Protection department will work on automatic and manual sewing machines to produce high quality fall protection equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain a high level of productivity with repetitive processes, including fast paced assembly processes.
Operate automatic and manual sewing machines and perform daily basic maintenance operations.
Verify the Work Order to ensure Product Components and assembly/sewing instructions are correct.
Perform soft goods assembly operations according to establish instructions.
Ensure quantities and product numbers are as per Work Orders, and labeling and manufacturing dates are correct.
Ensure all deficiencies are flagged and appropriately addressed.
Other production related duties as requested or required.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:

Good understanding of cutting processes and related equipment.
Experience in sewing is a strong asset
Must have a good knowledge of the soft goods manufacturing processes: cutting, assembly, sewing, product identification and labels.
Requires ability to learn and remember different styles of products and different hardware involved in the assembly process.
Capable to use sound judgment on product acceptability.
