THE MINISTRY

THE DIVISION

The Corporate Services Division provides leadership, direction, governance and support services to CITZ (over 2,200 employees in 65 communities) with respect to financial management, strategic human resources, corporate projects, strategic and business planning, enterprise risk management and facilities management and security.


THE BRANCH

The Financial & Administrative Services Branch is the central financial team within the Corporate Services Division of CITZ and is responsible for the overall financial management framework.


This position provides leadership to the Financial Policy and Controls team responsible for interpretation, development and advice regarding policy and processes, financial systems access management, credit card and signing authorities management, audits, financial risk coordination, client communications and training, and financial process reviews.


Job Requirements:


Education

  • Professional accounting designation preferred (CA, CGA, CMA and/or CPA) plus 2 years of progressively more responsible roles in a financial environment; OR
  • Diploma in a related discipline (eg. Business, Finance or Accounting) plus 5 years of progressively more responsible roles in a financial environment; OR
  • Grade 12 and completed financial courses plus 7 years of progressively more responsible roles in a financial environment.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in a government environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience developing and implementing controls, processes, procedures and financial reporting.
  • Minimum 1 year experience providing financial operations, contract management, and policy services, preferably in a government environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the coordination, delivery and maintenance of high quality client/customer service.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in supervising staff, scheduling staff, allocating work duties, managing employee performance and delivering training and direction.

This position is excluded from union membership.
