What can I expect to do in this role?
This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday 8:00-4:30) with consistent overtime as needed. You must be flexible with working overtime, and able to travel (globally).

Some of the responsibilities

Building Electrical Panels and Junction Boxes
Soldering and assembling Test Cables
Cutting and assembling extrusion frames
Assembling Mechanical Equipment
Troubleshooting electrical systems
Installation of the equipment in Canada/USA/Mexico
Upgrading the shop facilities
Setting up electrical rigs for testing software

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in the assembly of automated equipment, AND/OR a postsecondary diploma in mechanical, industrial automation, or electromechanical is preferred
Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings
Familiarity with standard electrical/mechanical/electronic assembly practices
Familiar with Solid Works/AutoCAD
Familiar with PLC ladder logic and basic understanding of programming languages
Must have own basic toolset
Must be able to handle physical requirements of the job (continuous standing, occasional lifting of 1050 pounds)
Practical experience in hooking up electrical devices and understanding their functionality
Exceptional communication (written & verbal in the English language) and interpersonal skills

Must be able to travel outside of Canada, especially the United States

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
