Job Number:49509**- Manage intelligence database(s) by reviewing, assessing, and analyzing information prior to uploading the information from internal and external sources.

  • Provide updates as required on identified offenders by tracking offender data and crime types including identification of modus operandi.
  • Scan criminal events and crime trends to identify persons of interest and their associates.
  • Respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders within identified timelines while following set business rules in place.
  • Provide administrative support to members of the Crime Suppression Branch.
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a progressively specialized area
  • Criminal Intelligence Analysis Certificate preferable.
  • Displays objective decisionmaking skills with critical analysis and evaluation skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of PowerBI, NicheUA, INetviewer, Sitecore, CPIC, JOIN, ORCA, POSSE, VISTAS, BWI RAPID, CORES, ROADS, CAMA and other related databases.
  • Experience creating and maintaining bail packages
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Open Source queries
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to enter data with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work in a fastpaced environment with mínimal supervision as part of a team.

  • As part of your prehire screening you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.

Salary Grade: 012, $ $33.76 (Hourly), $1, $2, Bi-Weekly), $47, $ Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.


General:


  • The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time. Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
  • Please note that the option to work remotely is not available at this time.
