What is the opportunity?


The Insurance Account Representative (IAR) plays an important role in our successful Desjardin Agency team by providing pre and post-sales planning, support, and relationship management.

The Insurance Account Representative will contribute to meeting team sales objectives by partnering with the Agent and other team members to develop and execute the agency sales plan.

The IAR sets and implements routines that allow the team to work together effectively to build strong relationships with clients and other team members that will lead to asset retention and increased sales.

The IAR is an energetic professional who will grow the business through value-based conversations and remarkable customer experience.


What will you do?

  • Develop Sales Leads
  • Schedule Sales appointments
  • Identify customer needs, recommend and sell marketappropriate products and services.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service
  • Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
  • Work with the agent to establish and meet marketing goals

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Sales experience preferred (outside or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing)
  • Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and listening
  • Proactive problem solver and analytical thinker
  • Dedicated to customer service
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize task
  • Ability to present to potential customers

Nice-to-have

  • OTL
  • Property & Casualty License (preferred or must be able to obtain)


  • LLQP

  • Life License (preferred or must be able to obtain)
  • Insurance industry experience
