Ottawa-based company Media Q Inc. is looking for motivated individuals to bring their administrative and organizational skills for a full-time, entry level, salaried position.

Media Q produces bilingual (French and English), verbatim transcripts of news events throughout Canada and around the world for a variety of private, government, nonprofit and not for profit clients.

Our mandate is to provide our clients with verbatim and rapid turnaround transcripts.

This employment opportunity will offer you an office-based, salaried position with health benefits and a friendly team-oriented work environment.

The hours for this position are 1 p.m. - 9 p.m., Monday - Friday. Some weekend over time is also available.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities will be:

• processing audio.

- monitoring for news events.
- reviewing transcripts formatting, spelling and clarity.
- sending transcripts to clients.
- reviewing audio for content and writing synopses.
- highly organized
- interested in news and politics
- able to keep pace in a fast-moving environment
- an effective communicator
- able to manage and prioritize daily tasks
- bilingual in French and English (not a requirement, but an asset)
