Position description
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at McGill University is one of the oldest departments in North America. We are proud of our longstanding foundation of excellence in both clinical and educational activities. Our Residency Program is robust and recognized nationally and internationally. Our Fellowship Program is also very successful and attracts trainees from all over the world.
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the Jewish General Hospital recently merged with Nuclear Medicine under Medical Imaging. About 180,000 exams (e.g., radiography, CT, US, MRI) are performed annually within the Department. The JGH recently expanded its footprint with the addition of Pavilion K and the hospital has over 600 beds.
The Jewish General Hospital (JGH) is a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada's internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.
McGill faculty members are expected to contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Hold an MD degree, and must hold, or be eligible for, licensure in the province of Quebec;
- Have completed subspecialty training as a radiologist in North America and be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent);
- Have completed at least 6 months of specialty cardiac training (i.e., CT and MRI);
- Demonstrate excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research;
- Additional clinical and/or research fellowships would be an asset;
