West Park Healthcare Centre helps patients get their lives back by providing specialized rehabilitative and complex care after a life‐altering illness or injury such as lung disease, amputation, stroke, and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.


West Park is building a new hospital and transforming its 27-acre site into an integrated campus of care, enabling the hospital to evolve its rehabilitative programs to meet Ontario's future healthcare needs.

Qualifications:
  • High School education and certificate/diploma from a recognized institution required
  • Diploma or Degree from a recognized postsecondary institution preferred
  • Intermediate MS Word & Outlook
  • Intermediate MS Excel & Access preferred, or desire to obtain intermediate level proficiency
  • Experience with electronic patient records, scheduling software, and equipment acquisition/purchasing software preferred
  • 2 years recent experience working in equipment/inventory control and database management
  • Recent experience working within a fastpaced team environment
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Evidence of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
  • Recent experience working in a healthcare setting; working experience related to AAC / assistive technology preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills preferred
  • Working knowledge of policies and procedures related to ADP and CEP for communication aids preferred
  • Evidence of satisfactory attendance record
  • An employee's disciplinary record will be reviewed as part of the assessment of qualifications

  • Should be aware of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors.

Accountabilities:


  • Complete procedures including but not limited to acquiring, dispensing, servicing and replacing communication equipment for AAC clients.
  • Reconcile client accounts related to equipment transactions (e.g. Centralized Equipment Pool).
  • Reconcile ADP funding reports against AAC financial reports.
  • Facilitate annual equipment lease renewals for clients.
  • Clean equipment according to organizational infection prevention and control standards.
  • Enter and maintain data within the Clinic's (client & equipment) databases to run reports and support completion of ADP reporting (e.g. financial schedules, Maintenance/Administration Fee submission, etc.).
  • Collect equipment prescription data
  • Organize equipment inservices/demos and loans
  • Set up and dismantle equipment for assessment, trials and training
  • Participate in AAC business meetings and service committees as required
  • Assist with maintaining the Clinic's accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
