Field Sales Representative Reporting to the Ontario Sales Manager - The Field Sales Representative will represent the A. Richard product line in hardware, paint, and industrial stores. The territory coverage will include Central GTA (Brampton to Scarborough / Waterfront to Barrie)
Primary Responsibilities;
- To help maximize sales of A. Richard products in big box stores (Home Depot/Lowes/Rona/Home Hardware/PPG/Sherwin Williams)
- Develop strong and dependable business relationships with all customers
- Manage and grow existing business within the territory
- Provide training/product knowledge to accounts and their staff
- Physically merchandise/reset peg board displays at store level
- Continually suggest new merchandising and display options for A. Richard tools
- Introduce new products to existing and new customers
- Identify and solicit potential new customers
- Adhere to the guidelines and strategies developed by A. Richard Tools
- Carry out tasks in accordance with A. Richard Tools objectives and priorities
- Maintain client records, ensuring they are comprehensive and up to date at all times
- Participate in any and all trade shows as decided by A. Richard Tools
- Complete weekly call reports and monthly expense reports
Skills/Qualifications:
- College diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent
- 23 years of experience merchandising and/or selling to hardware, paint, and industrial stores
- Dealing directly with buyers of national accounts in the past is an asset, but not required
- Selling to Industrial and Distributor Accounts is an asset, but not required
- Bilingualism is an asset, but not required
- Excellent communication, problemsolving and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficient in time management with the ability to organize and prioritize opportunities
- Valid passport is required to attend trade shows
- Selfmotivated and results oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills and a Team player
- Ability to resolve problems with a positive attitude
- Actively participate in strategic sales meetings
- Must own reliable vehicle
- Able and willing to travel overnight
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs
- Ability to stock merchandise and climb ladders
