Location:
Canada Office

Shift: 8-5 (Varies with schedule)


Starting Pay Rate:
$18.40

Part-time student opportunities allow undergraduate and graduate students to schedule their work around their classes. These roles are available in both the office, customer service centers, and in the production environment.

This program will allow students to gain experience working in a business/manufacturing environment while maintaining their full time academic commitments.

This part time work can be done throughout the student's matriculation at college/university with the options for extended work hours during the summer months.

Student are eligible for part time opportunities after the completion of their freshman year and can work until graduation. Students must be within a commutable distance of the Southwire location to participate in the Part Time Student Program.

  • Liaise with US marketing and Canadian sales team to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency
  • Provide support for marketing collaterals, advertising materials, marketing campaigns and other promotional activities
  • Coordinate with corporate marketing and communications team to leverage resources and gain synergies
  • Assure consistent communication of brand both internally and externally to customers, sponsors and other business partners
  • Lead efforts that support research, digital, and offline marketing and communications of Southwire's products and solution offerings.
  • Execute and manage social media activities across multiple channels to grow customer awareness and have a deep understanding of the digital media search engines
  • Passionate and have a deep understanding of the digital media from search and mobile to social.
  • Support Southwire Canada in driving a committed culture of Continuous Improvement, which in turn, supports Southwire's Values and Culture of Zero through ONE Southwire

What you'll need to bring to the table:

  • University or college student in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce or Marketing
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Strong Analytic acumen required with an effective communication skill
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders within Southwire
  • Ability to multitask and effectively time manage with a variety of projects ongoing at once
  • Quick learner and adaptable to change
